Things To Do in Nassau County

1. Jones Beach State Park

Head there for a few hours or head there for the weekend, but you’re sure to enjoy your time no matter what.

2. Sagamore Hills National Historic Site

This destination is the former home of Theodore Roosevelt. Constructed in the 1880s, this palatial estate is now a museum. There are also plenty of natural trails, a visitor center, and a beach for you to explore – all on 83 acres.

3. Bethpage Black Golf Course

Looking for a quick game or an all-day escape? This golf course is one of Long Island’s best. It’s located within Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, right at the heart of Nassau County. 

4. Old Westbury Gardens

Another prominent historic site, this stop is also a popular destination for the budding botanists  in your group. A historic mansion sitting on 200 acres, this converted museum now offers daily guided tours of the property and its botanical gardens. 

5. American Manhasset 

If you’re a shopaholic, you must make time to check out American Manhasset. 8. Nassau County Museum of Art

This expansive museum is found within a 145-acre former grand estate. It features gardens, plenty of outdoor art, and collection of both modern and classic pieces. If you’re an art enthusiast, it’s a destination that you absolutely cannot pass up.
